Intro
A little while back we encountered two distinct issues that just so happened to be symptoms of the same problem. One was that we were getting ClassCastExceptions when trying to cast beans pulled from the session in JSP scriptlets. The other was that our properties files were not being found. It turns out that there is actually a quick fix for this problem. So, we’ll look at the symptoms, define the problem, and provide the solution.
